Supporting School Gardens Grow

School gardens are a great way to engage students with hands-on learning opportunities. Such activities encourages them to create meaningful connections to the environment and extend learning beyond the classroom.

The Nevada County Resource Conservation District has established a micro-grant program for Schools in Nevada County to encourage children and promote agriculture in Nevada County. Receive up to $5,000 to start, grow, or improve a local children's garden project.  (May be subject to limited opportunities per fiscal year)
