Nearly 500 second- and third‑grade students from the Tahoe/Truckee School District will join us for Truckee Farm Day 2026 on June 3rd at the Truckee High School campus.

Truckee Farm Day is about much more than animals, fruits, and vegetables. Students explore the essential role of water in agriculture, discover how trees become lumber and paper, learn how wool is spun into clothing, and even find out how bats support farmers. They’ll dive into the world of insects and pollination, seed saving, soil health, worms, and so much more.

NCRCD partners and volunteers from across Nevada County will come together to create a lively, hands‑on learning experience for all participating classrooms. Students will rotate through games, demonstrations, presentations, and interactive activities that highlight the many facets of agriculture.
