This last quarter, the NCRCD had 14 prescribed fire site visits and held 5 workshops. Three of those workshops helped conduct burns for landowners, totaling 3.85 acres. We also completed our funding from the Community Wildfire Defense Grant, which allowed our program to provide these free site visits and workshops.

The NCRCD is pleased to announce the continuation of our program through funding awarded by the California Department of Conservation and subsequent subaward from The Watershed Research and Training Center! This funding will also have the NCRCD assist the Nevada County Prescribed Burn Association with capacity and resource building.
