Nevada County Ag Hour on KNCO Newstalk 830

A new year, a new show, and a fresh spotlight on local agriculture! Beginning in January, NCRCD will launch the Nevada County Ag-Hour on KNCO NewsTalk 830. Hosted by Amanda Rodgers, NCRCD’s Operations Director and a longtime radio broadcaster earlier in her career, this weekly, hour-long program will bring Nevada County agriculture to the airwaves through engaging conversations and local stories.
Each week, Amanda will welcome members of the local agricultural community to share their experiences, explore ideas, and talk about the work happening right here in Nevada County. From farming and ranching to youth in agriculture, Prescribed (RX) Fire, conservation, and food production, the show will explore a wide range of topics—and introduce listeners to the stories behind them.
At its heart, the Nevada County Ag-Hour is about bringing our community together to learn and connect. The program’s goal is to provide an inclusive, non-political, educational forum to explore the history, current challenges, and future of agriculture in Nevada County. Whether you’re involved in agriculture or simply curious about it, there’s a place for you in the conversation.
Have a story to share? We’d love to hear it! If you’re involved in agriculture in Nevada County, this is an invitation to share your experiences, highlight your work, and help listeners discover more about our local agricultural community.
