Our office has many programs to assist land owners, framers, ranchers, teachers and students. So, what are your resource concerns? Agriculture in Nevada County? Are we still in a drought? Controlling invasive plants and weeds? Wildlife habitat improvement? Vegetation management on your property? Forest health and bark beetles? We can help you with all these things and more.

Advisory Visit Program

The purpose of the Advisory Visit Program is to provide contact with landowners who are interested in natural resources management on their property.

Manure Exchange Program

The Manure Exchange Program helps connect farmers, gardeners, and landowners seeking manure/compost with local livestock owners and managers.

May contain: garden, nature, outdoors, gardening, person, plant, planting, clothing, footwear, shoe, and soil

Youth Programs

A local grassroots organization that provides quality agriculture-related educational resources, programs, and opportunities for our local school children.

Equipment to Rent or Borrow

Planning on planting or improving your pasture? Need tools to keep your property healthy and fire resilient? It takes vigilance and work to keep invasive plants and pests away and maintain your healthy land. The NCRCD offers a few tools for landowners to rent or borrow.
