Range Camp 2024 

Range Camp is an environmental science & management camp for high school students from across California. The camp takes place at the University of California’s Elkus Youth Ranch in Half Moon Bay, CA. Every year, Nevada County RCD offers four sponsorships at $750 each.  

It is a wonderful week of education for students to learn about riparian habitats, rangeland ecology, wildlife managemen, soils, forestry, plant identification, recreation, private and public lands, watershed hydrology, GPS/GIS technology applications, a tour of a working ranch, and given a team project planning competition. 

WHEN: Sunday, June 16th through Friday June 21.

WHERE: Elkus Ranch, Half Moon Bay, CA
