More than 800 Nevada County 2nd and 3rd graders will attend Farm Day 2024 in September at the Nevada County Fairgrounds.
As you probably already know, Farm Day isn’t just about animals, fruits, & vegetables. It’s about how important water is to all facets of agriculture. How trees become lumber and paper products, spinning fibers from animal wool makes clothes, and how bats help farmers with their crops.
It’s about the importance of insects and pollination, saving seeds, worms, and soil and so much more! Time is valuable, but we hope you make time to allow us to share our unique perspective on agriculture with your children at Farm Day. It’s a wonderful place for little eyes, hands, and minds!
Farm Day is made possible by the Nevada County Ag in the Classroom participants, the Nevada County Fairgrounds, and generous donations from these local businesses and organizations.
