Annual Farm Day

On Wednesday, September 18, 2019, Nevada County Ag in the Classroom hosted their 5th Annual Farm Day at the Nevada County Fairgrounds!  This event is open to all 2nd & 3rd graders in Nevada County.

As most of you know, Farm Day isn’t just about animals, fruits, & vegetables.  It’s about how important water is to all facets of agriculture.  How trees become lumber and paper products, spinning fibers from animal’s wool makes clothes, and how bats help farmers with their crops.  It’s about the importance of insects and pollination, saving seeds, worms and soil and so much more!

Time is valuable, but we hope you make time to allow us to share our unique perspective on agriculture with your children at Farm Day.  It’s a wonderful place for little eyes, hands, and minds!
