The members of the Bear River Watershed Group meet at least quarterly to discuss watershed health concerns, ongoing water quality monitoring and watershed projects, grant opportunities, and future projects intended to improve land management practices and watershed health.  In addition, we often have fantastic presentations given by regional experts.  All interested persons are invited to participate - we’d love to hear your observations and have your input on these important issues!

Meetings are held at the CDF Higgins Station (intersection of HWY 49 and Combie Road) from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. The meeting dates for 2008 are:

·        Thursday, February 28^th

·        Wednesday, April 16^st  (This meeting will be held from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Grass Valley NID building on West Main Street across from Lyman Gilmore Middle School).

·        Thursday, May 22^nd   

·        Thursday, July 24^th

·        Thursday, September 25^th

·        Thursday, October 23^th (Location to be announced. Joint meeting with the Yuba-Bear Watershed Council)
